Arrival / Warm-Up / Cool Down Attire - Over Training Wear -
BDPA-branded studio t-shirt (past BDPA show t-shirts are acceptable) (compulsory)
BDPA-branded zip-up jacket or hoodie only (compulsory)
BDPA - Branded or Plain black cuff-bottom joggers, optional. You may purchase a cost-affordable alternative, but it must be plain black and suitable for the class. Black baggy Joggers are only accepted in street/commercial.
Warm-up wear must be removed when the teacher requests.
Any items worn to class that are not part of the class uniform must be removed when the teacher requests it.
Jewellery Policy
Please remove all jewellery, watches, and ear or body piercings before class. These items can pose a safety risk and may restrict movement. Small stud earrings may be permitted only if securely covered with a plaster.
All Students
- Top & Bottoms: Black leotard and pull-on ballet skirt (from BDPA only)
- Top: Black ballet cardigan.
- Bottoms: Pink ballet tights/Socks
- Footwear: Pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, and black slip-on jazz shoes
Ballet Skirt Colours
- Year 1 & 2 Class - Pale Pink Skirt
- Years 3 to 5/6/7 - Pastel Blue Skirt
- Year 6-8 - Lavender Skirt
- Year 9 & up - Black Skirt
Male Class Uniform
Bottoms: Plain black PE-style shorts, black unitard or footless black male dance tights (compulsory)
Top: Fitted dance vest top or black unitard (long enough to tuck in) (compulsory)
Footwear: Black ballet shoes, black tap shoes, Black Jazz shoes, and black ballet socks/tights (compulsory)
Hair: (Compulsory)
Shoulder length and below – Low bun
Shorter hair – Half up, half down, or plaits/braids
Safety Wear: Athletic jockstrap required from the start of puberty and up (recommended to prevent testicular torsion from happening)
